Fly Name Black Boudreaux
Photo
Originator Ray Boudreaux
Species Bream, Crappie, Rios
Description

From Ray Boudreaux:
“This fly was developed when I was new to fly fishing and fly tying. My local club, Acadiana Fly Rodders of Lafayette, LA, was having an outing at a local pond to fish and teach anyone the basics of fly fishing. One of the club members was having great success catching bream on a small fly. During a break, he showed it to me. Being new to fly tying, I didn’t have most of the materials for that fly, so I experimented with what was available. The result was The Black Boudreaux. I can’t take credit for the name…another AFR member, Bob Boese, has that honor. This little fly has caught most every warm water fish, as well as several coldwater species.”.
