Native Flies List

Fly Name Slow Sinking Spider
Photo
Originator Stephen Robert
Species Bream
Description

Stephen Robert of Houma, LA, created the Slow Sinking Spider as a substitute for the once-popular Accardo Ligon. Stephen’s version uses a combination of colors and rubber legs to create a fly that not only attracts bream, but the movement of the legs on it’s slow sink – along with an occasional tiny strip – is irresistable to sunfish. It’s most effective over spawning beds. It can also be fished as a dropper to a popping bug, sometimes with the result being a double strike.
